We may have various thoughts running in our minds when trying to achieve our path to excellence. That includes doubtful thoughts, discouragement and lack of a proper circle to open up and talk. These thoughts remain when we open our eyes wider to doubts. Confidence is nurtured through connection, compassion and consistent engagement. By surrounding ourselves with the right support, we can leave behind the weight of doubt and be transformed into a more confident, empowered version of ourselves.

Causes of Self-Doubt

Comparison with Others: Constantly comparing ourselves to others erodes self-confidence and fosters self-doubt.

Fear of Failure: The fear of failure, especially when trying new things or implementing new ideas, inhibits confidence and leads to self-doubt.

Negative Past Experiences: Dwelling on past mistakes can create a fear of repetition, hindering progress and fuelling self-doubt. Past failures should not become stumbling blocks.

  • Identify The Passion: We need to take time and pause and think about what really motivates us. What keeps us moving forward even when we feel down?
  • Make Goals: Making a note of our goals can be a good thing, as it helps us to strive forward when we focus and make a way for it.  
  • Share Ideas: Speaking with someone we trust, be it a friend, mentor or family member can bring clarity and confidence. New perspectives help us move forward with assurance.
  • Don’t Set Back: When we feel overwhelmed, it’s okay to pause. Let’s try meditation, calming music or even watch inspiring content to recharge.
  • Journal Our Thoughts: Writing helps us make note of our feelings and identify what sparks or dims our motivation.
  • Support Groups: Being part of a supportive community reminds us we’re not alone. Shared journeys bring strength.
  • Celebrate Progress: Every step we take forward without fear is progress. Let’s embrace them and move boldly and let them build momentum.
  • Stay Consistent: Being consistent is a key character.  Whatever our goal is we need to be consistent in doing it no matter how hard it might be.
  • Keep Our Focus: Every effort matters. Staying focused helps us become the confident women we were born to be.

The Power of Being Seen and Heard

Every one of us needs to be heard and seen. The unique talents we possess help us to be our best version. No matter the smallest of what we do, whether it’s dancing, singing, craft work or even entrepreneurship, we want others to see our talents and also appreciate us. This helps us to know that what we do matters, that our unique perspective and skills have value. In a world that often prioritizes conformity, celebrating our talents becomes an act of self-worth.

Consider a Sculptor

Have you observed a sculptor working with rocks? Rocks are very hard and cannot be easily moulded into any desired shape. A skilled sculptor takes time and then slowly and gradually carves it, bringing it to its perfect form through hard work, dedication, energy, effort and tireless thinking. In the end we achieve a beautiful result that becomes a wonderful masterpiece.
